Fasting

Colonoscopy booking customers should be prepared in accordance with the instructions of the colonoscopy.

  • Have a light dinner the previous night before 8:00 pm. (Avoid Alcohol, meat, and greasy food)
  • Do NOT eat any food or don't drink fluid after that. (gum, water, medicine, drinks, cigarettes, etc.)
  • Bring your completed questionnaire with you.

Stool sample & Health questionnaire

  • Stool samples are collected on the day or the day before the check up
  • You can collect the sample using the attached spoon under the stool container's cap. The sample should be about 5g(the size of a kidney bean).
  • Bring your completed questionnaire with you.

Patients on medication

  • You can take blood pressure medication, heart medicine, and anticonvulsant medication with a minimum amount or water around 6:00 am. However, do NOT take anticoagulant medications.
  • Do NOT take antidiabeticmedication or insulin injections in the morning or the previous night.
  • Do NOT take aspirin for 7days prior to the check up.(If you are on medication, please consult your physician. If you take vlood pressure medication, check whether it includes aspirin.)

Conscious sedation endoscope

  • If you received a sedative for you endoscopy, you should rest in the recovery room.
  • You must be accompanied by a guardian because there are individual differences in recovery time.
  • Please refrain from driving, important meetings, or using complex mechanical equipment on the day of the check up.

For female clients

  • You can have a check up without a urine test and gynecological examinations during menstruation(periods).
  • 5 days after menstruation ends, you can complete the examinations.
  • Women of childbering age must check their menstruation cycle and should make sure they are not pregnant.
  • You are advised to take the gynecological examinations to check for any abnormalities even if you have had a hysterectomy.
  • Abstain from sexual activity, use of vaginal cream in the 24 hours prior to the check up.

Etc

  • Please refrain from carrying articles of value in case of theft.(necklace, ring, watch etc.)
  • Please refrain from being accompanied by children on the day of the check up.
  • Parking is free for 8 hours. You must bring your parking ticket.(You can have your parking ticket validated at the health promotion center)
  • Don't bring valuables (such as necklaces, rings, watches, etc.) to prevent theft
